Overview
When coupled with AARFID™ ’s messaging system, AIN, RPMS™ and RHM™ alerts are automatically sent to designated personnel via text message or e-mail. System managers gain 24/7 visibility and are able to save precious minutes when alerted to errors as they occur.
Message Types
Two types of messages are generated:
- System generated messages
- Human generated messages
System Generated Messages
AARFID™ programmers have identified many possible system conditions that require alert. When these alerts occur, the AARFIDware™ Messaging system sends text messages or e-mail to designated employees. Optionally, these messages may also be automatically sent to AARFID™ technicians. Messages contain possible corrective actions. Conditions include, but are not limited to:
- Low battery
- Lost connection
- Change of reader / pc location
- Error in reading or writing occurs
- Device specific error codes
- Presence of lost or stolen media
Human Generated Messages
System Managers are able to send each other messages from within the reader messaging system. Further, System Managers can request devices to perform specific functions and send results to other interested parties.
